Be sure to look on the backside of the kitchen island. Lots of extras there. If there is something that you need, I may have it at home. We are nearby and I’m happy to drop something off if I have it.

There is an extra leaf and 4 folding chairs in the coat closet (across from powder room). There are also table clothes on the shelf.

Guests frequently leave behind partially used items, such as spices and cooking oil. You are welcome to use whatever there is. Please note that we do not monitor these items and cannot guarantee their freshness or safety.

There is a porta-crib, high chair, and baby gate in the hall closet upstairs near the window.

There are a variety of life jackets in the carport. Please hang them up after use so that they dry fully.

We are sorry that our insurance prevents us from allowing guests to use the indoor fireplace.

There is 1 security camera on premises. It is installed on the roof of the carport and faces the driveway. It is on at all times.

Firewood can be purchased at the gas station/mini-mart at the corner of Campground Road and NC Business 16. (turn right at the campground, ½ mile to light) There are a lot of small branches in the yard that work well for kindling. You are welcome to use the logs against the fence, but they are not split so don’t burn well unless you already have a good fire going.

There are marshmallow roasting forks in the silverware drawer and a small black folding table in the coat closet (across from powder room) that works well for supplies.

Please keep the firepit covered when not in use. Allow to cool overnight before covering or cleaning. To clean, stir ashes with a stick. They will fall through holes in bottom. Pull out drawer and discard ashes.

There are cleaning supplies under the kitchen sink and in the closet under the stairs. Please use the towels in the basket by the porch door for spills, muddy boots and paws, and other cleaning needs.

There is no garbage disposal, and we are on a septic system. Please scrape dishes into the garbage, not the sink.

Please scrape dishes thoroughly before putting them in the dishwasher.

Please leave washer door open to prevent it from getting a stale smell. We are on a well and septic, so please limit yourself to a few loads. While we know it is convenient to arrive home with clean clothes, we prefer that you not do all your laundry before leaving.
